The section on Thermal Physics is a collection of essays at the heart of this site. The author recommends that all readers read "The Little Heat Engine" and its comments first. This essay is building a foundation to discuss the problems at hand. "The Little Heat Engine" is easily comprehensible by high school students. After that, the photosphere section may be most interesting. The sections on Blackbody Radiation, Kirchhoff's Law, the MAP and COBE satellites and the Temperature of the Universe are in various stages of completion.
